Trastic® is based on a white material base made from recycled food packaging and production waste. Depending on the design, this base is enhanced with black, colorful or highly pigmented recycled flakes from ski and snowboard bases or bottle caps. The fragments remain visible within the depth of the material, creating a distinctive 3D effect – making every panel unique.

Trastic® is a high-quality panel made from recycled polyethylene. Since 2019, we have been transforming mono-material plastic waste into durable furniture panels and interior solutions for retail, hospitality, offices and public spaces. The material combines design, functionality and circularity in one material.
The panels are made from recycled plastic and are themselves fully recyclable. Thanks to the mono-material composition, the result is a durable material that can be returned to the recycling loop at the end of its life cycle.
Unlike conventional plastic panels, Trastic® is made from recycled material and is solid-colored throughout. Its solid-core structure enables long-term use and allows the surface to be refinished multiple times.
As the material is made from recycled plastic, every panel is unique. Slight variations in color may occur between production batches. Within each project, we ensure a harmonious overall appearance.
They are suitable for furniture manufacturing, interior design and commercial projects, including tables, kitchen worktops, wall cladding, shopfitting, hospitality and office concepts. The material is robust and suitable for high-traffic areas.
Yes. They are made from polyethylene, a plastic that has been used in food and medical applications for decades. The material is free from plasticizers, harmful substances and harmful emissions. Its closed surface is hygienic and easy to maintain.
Yes. The material is waterproof, hygienic and easy to clean. As with almost all surfaces, hot objects should not be placed directly on the surface for extended periods. The solid-colored structure allows the surface to be refinished later if required.
Yes. They are waterproof and moisture-resistant and can be used both indoors and outdoors. Long-term UV exposure may cause slight changes in color without affecting the material's functionality.
Signs of wear may occur with intensive use. Thanks to the solid-core structure, however, scratches can be sanded out and the surface can be visually refreshed.
As standard, the material has the fire properties of HDPE. For specific project requirements, additives can be incorporated to improve its fire-performance characteristics.
They can be milled, drilled, cut, sanded and thermoformed – similar to wood or solid-surface materials. On-site modifications are also possible.
Yes. In addition to raw panels, we offer cutting, CNC machining, edge processing and complete furniture manufacturing – all the way through to finished interior solutions.
Yes. Tabletops can also be produced individually and made to measure, either for existing table bases or as complete custom-made tables.
No. Panels are available from a quantity of one. For individually developed custom panels, a higher minimum quantity may be required depending on the project.
Yes. Projects can be scaled from one-off pieces to several hundred or even thousands of units, including international rollouts.
Yes. Pricing depends on quantity, format and project scope. Individual quotations are prepared based on the specific project requirements.
Depending on the scope of the project, lead times are typically between 2 and 8 weeks. Some products may also be available from stock at short notice.
Yes. Material samples can be requested. There are also completed projects throughout Europe where Trastic® can be viewed in real-world applications.
